Quinceañera Planned as Mini Wedding:

A Quinceañera will take a lot of time & effort to plan. Because of this, you should begin planning at least a few months ahead of time. First a Quinceañera will need invitations to invite the guests of course. Then she has to pick the Chambelanes and Damas. Dresses need to be specially made for the Damas and Tuxedos or Zoot Suits need to be rented for the Chambelanes. A choreographer needs to be hired to arrange the waltz the Chambelanes and Damas are going to perform. A banquet hall or community center needs to be rented for this event. Décor and theme of the party need to be selected. The types of decorations needed are flowers, streamers, banners, table linens, balloon arches and party favors commemorating the event. A DJ or Band (Conjunto/Mariachi) will have to be selected to entertain guests. Having a Ballet Folklorico adds to the cultural aspect of the event. One of the most important things for the Quince is her dress. The traditional color has always been pink but as all things change in life some girls are choosing other colors. Most of these colors are light, but nothing is off limits.
